Celebrate Our Skaters!

All members of the Skating Club of Western New York are invited to attend our Annual Awards Banquet and Meeting to celebrate the end of the skating season and to recognize the achievements of our skaters. At this event, the President's Trophies, Special Recognition Trophies and Progress trophies are presented.
We encourage all members to attend this event. The skaters and parents will thoroughly enjoy this event in a setting away from the rink. We guarantee a good time for all! This year's Annual Awards Banquet and Meeting will be held on May 1st at Ilio DiPaulo's Restaurant. Banquet Reservation Form available here.
Skater's need to complete the President's Trophy Form to be eligible to receive any of the Special Recognition trophies. The deadline for this form is April 10th, 2011. |
Special Recognition Trophies:
1. Senior President's Trophy - awarded to the club skater accumulating the most total points who is a juvenile skater (freestyle or freedance) or above.
2. Junior President's Trophy - awarded to the club skater accumulating the most total points who is between the badge and pre-juvenile levels.
3. Senior/Junior Freestyle Trophy - awarded to the club skater accumulating the most points in their main freestyle events (short/long programs & test).
4. Senior/Junior Dance Trophy - awarded to the club skater accumulating the most points in dance events (test & competition).
5. Test Point Trophy - awarded tothe club skater accumulating the most points during testing (moves, freestyle and dance).
6. Sara Pieszak Memorial Trophy - awarded to our club skater who best exemplifies the characteristics that Sara possessed - humility, sincerity, work ethic, respectfulness and kindness. Voted on by the SCWNY coaches.
7. Character on Ice Award - awarded tothe skater who possesses the following characteristics - work ethic, club spirit and a willingness to mentor younger club members. Voted on by the skating members of SCWNY.
Progress Trophies:
Progress Level Trophies will be awarded to each club member at the skater's freestyle or freedance level.
