Grassroots To Champions
Once again, Skate Great and SCWNY worked together to bring the award winning Grassroots to Champions seminar to our home ice. Our skaters and coaches were inundated with information about proper body alignment, take-offs and landings, correct air positioning, the use of tools such as Champion cords, the off-ice harness, jumping pole, and Dartfish technology to both inform and enhance the learning process. In addition to the wonderful G2C pros, many other presenters were on hand with information about the skate buying and fit-ting process, sports psychology, the judges’ perspective, the IJS scoring system, as well as a very moving talk on parent survival techniques from former, long-time club members.
